What Is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness competition that combines running with functional fitness exercises. It is often described as a “fitness race” because it involves completing a set of workouts at various stations along with running a specific distance. The format is designed to test both endurance and strength.
A typical HYROX event consists of:
- 8km run – participants run 1km at a time between workout stations
- 8 workout stations including SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpree’s, rowing, kettlebell lunges, sandbag lunges & wall balls
The goal is to complete the entire course as quickly as possible. The competition is open to all fitness levels, with different categories available (like Open, Pro, or Age Groups), and it’s designed to challenge participants across various aspects of fitness, including strength, endurance, speed, and coordination. It’s a popular event for people looking to test their fitness in a structured and competitive environment.
